Pakistan: 10 Militants Killed in Two Security Operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province
Islamabad, August 07 (QNA) - The Pakistani army announced that 10 militants were killed in two separate security operations in Pakistan's northwestern Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.
In a statement, the army said the first operation took place in South Waziristan, where a group of militants attempted to attack security checkpoints. Security forces foiled the assault, killing eight militants during an exchange of fire.
The statement added that Pakistani forces killed two more militants in a separate clash in the Dir district of the same province, noting that weapons and ammunition were found in the possession of those killed.
The Pakistani army said combing operations were still underway in the area to track down any remaining militants, with the aim of strengthening security and stability. (QNA)
