Doha, August 03 (QNA) - Qatar Central Securities Depository (Edaa) has announced that the trading period for Baladna Rights will end on Monday, Aug. 3, 2026.

In an investor notice published on its X account, the company said the subscription period will commence on Tuesday, Aug. 4, 2026, and will continue for 10 working days, ending on Monday, Aug. 17, 2026.

It added that only investors holding Baladna Rights at the end of the trading period on Aug. 3, 2026, will be eligible to subscribe.

As such, Edaa urged investors to update their information in preparation for the subscription period, stressing the importance of adding their bank account number (IBAN) with Edaa before the subscription period begins to ensure the smooth and swift completion of the process.

The Company's Extraordinary General Assembly, convened on July 22, 2026, approved a 25 percent increase in the Company's paid-up share capital through the issuance of new ordinary shares by way of a rights issue, with priority granted to eligible shareholders registered in the shareholders' register maintained by Edaa at the close of trading on July 27, 2026, as well as holders of Subscription Rights.

The company's paid-up capital is projected to increase from QAR 2.144 billion to about QAR 2.680 billion if all offered shares are subscribed, through the issuance of 535.996 million new ordinary shares with pre-emptive rights for existing shareholders. (QNA)
