Doha, August 29 (QNA) - Al Shamal Sports Club announced on Friday that Moroccan midfielder Mohamed Rabie Hrimat will be sidelined after sustaining an anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) tear during the team's match against Al Gharafa in week 2 of the Doha Bank Stars League.
In a statement posted on its official X account, the club said Hrimat will undergo surgery in the coming period, with his medical condition to be assessed following the procedure.
Al Shamal added that a date for Hrimat's return to competitive action will be determined at a later stage, based on the outcome of his medical assessment and the rehabilitation programme he will undertake after surgery.
The club did not specify how long the player is expected to be out of action. (QNA)
