Kyiv, August 29 (QNA) - Ukrainian authorities announced today that at least 27 people were killed, and others injured in a Russian attack on a warehouse in the Kyiv region.
Kyiv region Governor Timur Tkachenko said in a Telegram post that at least 27 people were killed, and 42 others injured in a Russian drone attack late last night.
He added that more than 380 people were evacuated from the area of the attack in the Bucha district, without providing further details.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said the Russian strike caused an explosion and that nearby infrastructure suffered "significant damage," including residential buildings and a nursing home.
He added, in a post on the X platform: "Those who allowed this to happen must be held accountable for their decisions," adding that a criminal investigation has already been opened for official negligence.
He continued: "There are regulations in place, and ammunition cannot be stored near homes or other residential areas. Appropriate conclusions will certainly be drawn." (QNA)
