Doha, August 27 (QNA) - The National Archives of Qatar (NAQ) opened the exhibition "Beyond the Court: The History and Global Legacy of Basketball" organized in collaboration with FIBA Foundation at building (46) at the Cultural Village Foundation (Katara). 
The exhibition, lasting until March 27, 2027, witnessed on its first day a large turnout, where the visitors viewed its sections, documented materials, and historic possessions, in addition to partaking in several interactive experiences. 
The "Beyond the Court: The History and Global Legacy of Basketball" exhibition showcases to its visitors the history of the sport over the decades and the founding of the FIBA Foundation. 
The exhibition highlights notable moments in the FIBA Basketball World Cup history, as well as the founding of the Qatar Basketball Federation and the development of the sport in Qatar. 
Holding of the exhibition comes as part of Qatar's preparations to host the FIBA Basketball World Cup 2027, by shedding light on the history and legacy of the sport and introducing it to the public. It additionally reflects NAQ's role in documenting national sport history by achieving it and presenting it to researchers and enthusiasts through modern and interactive methods. (QNA)
