LoginJordan's King, Chinese President Stress Need for Overall Middle East De-escalation
Beijing, August 24 (QNA) - King Abdullah II of Jordan and Chinese President Xi Jinping underlined Monday the importance of achieving overall de-escalation and stability in the Middle East.
The two sides held talks in Beijing to discuss bilateral relations and regional issues of shared concern, with King Abdullah underscoring Jordan's commitment to expanding cooperation with China in multiple fields.
King Abdullah further pointed out that his visit included productive discussions to explore opportunities for deepening economic cooperation in significant sectors like agriculture, the pharmaceutical, food and engineering industries, as well as tourism, education and culture.
For his part, Jinping stressed the importance of reaching a just and comprehensive resolution for the Palestinian cause based on the two-state solution principle, emphasizing that China is willing to reinforce cooperation with Jordan.
At the final talks, the King of Jordan and the Chinese President signed a raft of agreements and memoranda of understanding between the governments of both nations in numerous areas, foremost of which are e-commerce, digital economy, film production, tourism, media and agriculture. (QNA)
