Doha, August 22 (QNA) - The Ministry of Education and High Education (MOEHE) issued a decision to establish six new public schools as well as to appoint 17 school principals and to transfer 17 others.
In its statement on Saturday, the Ministry said that HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Lolwah bint Rashid bin Mohammed Al Khater issued Decision No. (14) of 2026 concerning the opening of new schools and the appointment and transfer of a number of school principals.
This move seeks to strengthen public school administration efficiency and enhance the education sector's readiness for the start of the 2026-2027 academic year, MOEHE added.
The Ministry said the decision reflects its efforts to provide a high-quality educational environment and develop educational capabilities and leadership, in line with Qatar's growth and educational needs.
It also contributes to achieving the objectives of the Qatar National Vision 2030 under the human development pillar by investing in education and developing human capabilities, thereby supporting Qatar's sustainable development.
MOEHE noted that the new public schools will include: the Qatar preparatory and secondary school for science and technology for boys in Al Sakhama, the Qatar secondary school for science and technology for girls in Rawdat Al Hamama, the Ain Khaled secondary school for boys, the Doha preparatory school for girls, the Al Thakhira primary school for boys, and the Muaither primary school for girls.
