QASC Secretary-General: Military World Skydiving Championship Key to Team Development
Bratislava, August 21 (QNA) - Secretary-General of the Qatar Air Sports Committee (QASC) Captain Hazza Hamad Al Attiya said the participation of Qatar's national skydiving team in the Military World Skydiving Championship in Slovakia represents an important opportunity to enhance the team's level through competition against the world's top teams.
Speaking on the sidelines of a ceremony to exchange shields among participating delegation heads, Al Attiya said the championship presents a major challenge for the Qatari team while providing valuable experience and an opportunity for its athletes to showcase their abilities.
He stressed the importance of international competitions in improving athletes' skills and experience, adding that the team aims to demonstrate the development of air sports in Qatar.
Qatar is competing in the Al Hadaf team category, with Mohammed Al Marri in the senior individual event; Abdulaziz Abdullah, Khaled Shajea, Saleh Al Obaidi and Mohammed Al Attas in the team event; and Ali Al Yafei and Saleh Al Karbi in the junior individual event.
The championship, featuring 33 countries, runs through Aug. 23, with Qatar aiming to achieve positive results and further develop the Target team ahead of future international competitions. (QNA)
