QFA Organizes Training Camp for Promising Referees Ahead of New Season
Doha, August 20 (QNA) - The Refereeing Department of the Qatar Football Association (QFA) announced that it will hold a domestic training camp for referee assessors and promising referees from August 25 to 29, in preparation for the start of youth competitions for the 2026-27 sports season.
The camp aims to enhance the readiness of promising referees across various aspects and develop their capabilities through preparation, monitoring and continuous assessment programs, contributing to the development of their performance and the advancement of the refereeing system in youth competitions.
The Refereeing Department will also hold a meeting on August 27 with officials and representatives of clubs' youth teams, including heads of departments, team managers, coaches, administrators and players, to explain the latest amendments to the Laws of the Game that will be implemented during the 2026-27 season, as well as answer questions from club representatives.
The meeting is part of the Refereeing Department and Referees Committee's commitment to strengthening communication and partnership with clubs and exchanging views in a way that contributes to developing the refereeing system and achieving the best possible results.
The meeting will also address the organization of future workshops for clubs' technical and administrative staff to explain the Laws of the Game and their application, strengthen cooperation between referees and players, and promote sportsmanship on the pitch. (QNA)
