QFA's Refereeing Department Concludes Elite Referees Camp Ahead of New Season
Doha, August 18 (QNA) - The Qatar Football Association (QFA) Refereeing Department concluded its Elite Referees Camp, held from August 7 to 18 with the participation of a number of leading lecturers and experts in the field.
Held in preparation for the new season, the camp featured a comprehensive program covering various aspects of refereeing through theoretical lectures, practical and physical training, and psychological preparation.
It also included explanations and discussions of the Laws of the Game, practical applications, and field exercises aimed at developing technical and physical skills, as well as improving decision-making speed and accuracy in handling refereeing situations.
At the conclusion of the camp, the referees took a written test on the Laws of the Game to assess their understanding of the topics covered and the benefits gained from the training program.
Speaking about the camp, QFA Referees Committee Chairman Hani Taleb Ballan said the referees had made great efforts throughout the camp, stressing the importance of benefiting from the experience gained and maintaining the level they had reached.
Ballan urged the referees to continue working and developing their skills and to make greater efforts in the coming period to reach the highest refereeing standards and meet the aspirations of the QFA and its Referees Committee.
For his part, Technical Director of the Professional Referee Department at the Royal Belgian Football Association (RBFA) Jonathan Lardot expressed his pleasure at participating in the Qatar Elite Referees Camp, praising the organizational, technical, and logistical standards of the event, which he said reflect Qatar's leadership in delivering world-class standards in organizing sporting gatherings.
