Cairo, August 16 (QNA) - Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi met Sunday with US President's Envoy Jared Kushner during his visit to Egypt to discuss developments in the Middle East, particularly those related to the Palestinian cause.

According to a statement by the Egyptian Presidency, El-Sisi underlined the importance of continuing efforts to address shared challenges, as the two nations remain committed to supporting security and stability at both the regional and global levels.

He pointed out that resolving the various crises unfolding across the region is imperative to safeguarding regional stability.

Regarding developments in the Palestinian cause, the meeting stressed the importance of all parties living up to their obligations under the ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip, which was reached during the Sharm El-Sheikh Peace Summit in October 2025.

The meeting also addressed bilateral cooperation and the long-standing strategic relations between Egypt and the United States, along with ongoing coordination between the two nations across a range of areas of mutual interest. (QNA)
