Arab League Condemns Iran' s Targeting of Two UAE Tankers Transiting Strait of Hormuz
Cairo, August 14 (QNA) - The Arab League condemned Iran's targeting of two UAE-flagged oil tankers as they transited the Strait of Hormuz, describing it as a blatant and unacceptable violation of international law and UN Security Council Resolution 2817.
In a statement issued on Friday, the League emphasized that the recurrence of such Iranian violations poses a direct threat to freedom of navigation, alongside its serious implications for international trade and global energy security.
The Arab League stressed the necessity of respecting international law and the Law of the Sea, calling on Iran to cease these escalatory actions and refrain from any practices that jeopardize the security and safety of maritime navigation. (QNA)
