8 Killed in Floods and Landslides in the Philippines
Manila, August 10 (QNA) - At least eight people were killed in floods and landslides in the Philippines, more than a week after heavy rains, the Philippine National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) announced on Monday.
The NDRRMC reported that nine people were injured, while one person remains missing as several tropical storms and monsoon winds continue to batter the southwest of the country.
Floods have affected more than 750,000 people across the country due to severe weather conditions, authorities said, with more than 8,000 people forced to seek refuge in evacuation centers. (QNA)
