Seattle, July 07 (QNA) - Belgium secured its spot in the quarterfinals of the FIFA 2026 World Cup after beating the United States 4-1 at Lumen Field Stadium in Seattle.

Belgium's Charles De Ketelaere scored the first goal of the match in the 9th minute. The US then equalized with a goal from a free kick by Malik Tillman in the 31st minute. De Ketelaere scored once more in the 33rd minute, ending the first half 2-1 in Belgium's favor.

Hans Vanaken scored Belgium's third in the 57th minute, then Romelu Lukaku sealed Belgium's spot in the quarterfinals with the country's fourth goal.

Belgium will face Spain in quarterfinals on Friday. (QNA)
