Gaza Rights Center Renews Push for Global Action to Stop Israeli Crimes in Gaza
Gaza, July 06 (QNA) - The Gaza Rights Center has reissued exhortations to the international community to immediately spring into action to halt the crimes perpetrated by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip.
In a statement on Monday, the Center called for enforcing powerful measures to protect civilians, cease the genocide, and ensure those responsible for these abuses are held accountable before international justice.
The statement warned that the unabated Israeli control over almost 70% of Gaza swathes, simultaneously with the daily carnage against civilians across the Gaza enclave, suggests that the occupation hasn't seen the imposition of effacement operations of Palestinians and the slashing of the available geographical space as enough action, but has turned the remaining swaths of the enclave into an open theater of killings.
These acts of carnage, the statement continued, target civilians whether inside residential neighborhoods, shelter centers, displacement points, or in proximity to the occupation forces' military posture lines known in media outlets as the "Yellow Line".
It added that throughout the past days, the Center's field personnel have documented acts of killing apparently by airstrikes, artillery shelling, and firing indiscriminate and disproportionate salvos and sniper shots directly at civilians continuously without any qualms about due diligence measures for civilian protection.
The intentional blurred lines established within the areas where the Israeli soldiers maintain military posture without apparent or declared boundaries for civilians to recognize have turned these areas into a death trap, the statement warned.
The statement further emphasized that the United Nations has verified the killing of 196 Palestinians, among them 18 women and 43 children, between Oct. 10, 2025, and April 2026.
This carnage, the statement explained, took place in areas proximate to the Israeli deployment perimeters, which were designed as blurred sites, suggesting the repeated patterns the occupation pursues in endangering civilian lives and exposing Palestinians to the menace of death without prior warning or the possibility to stave off the danger.
The Center emphasized that dozens of additional victims have been recorded in the past two months in the same areas amid the increasing measures the occupation takes to reduce the available safety spaces for civilians.
The statement further indicated that the daily killings, alongside hundreds of similar incidents, suggest that the Israeli occupation soldiers engage in methodical carnage in different parts across the Gaza Strip.
These acts, the statement remarked, are intended to annihilate them and make civilians targets even when they think to venture out, whether inside the remaining populated areas or near the deployment lines of the occupation soldiers.
Targeting civilians in areas that don't have apparent menacing indicators, or in parts to which they had been forced to flee, constitutes a flagrant breach of Geneva Conventions and the international rules-based order, the statement underscored.
It stressed that these acts demonstrate that the Israeli occupation has resorted to lethality against people who enjoy full legal protection.
As such, the Center warned that taking over almost 70% of the enclave's space by Israel, coupled with the relentless attacks on the remaining populated areas, triggers over two million Palestinians to live inside crowded scattered pockets that lack the minimum elements of life-saving necessities.
