Islamabad, July 30 (QNA) - Nine police officers were killed, and 28 others were wounded in an attack on a police checkpoint in northwestern Pakistan today.
Pakistani police said gunmen attacked a security checkpoint in Hangu district, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, killing nine officers, including a senior officer, and injuring 28 others.
Following the attack, police launched a large-scale search operation in the area, saying 15 militants were killed during the response. (QNA)
