Doha, July 28 (QNA) - The Museum of Islamic Art, in cooperation with the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya), will organize a summer camp for children from August 2 to 13. 
Targeting Qatari boys and girls between the ages of 9 and 13, the camp will introduce them to the Islamic civilization through a program that combines art, science, and innovation. 
Moreover, it will feature hands-on activities to help foster creativity, enhance critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and encourage teamwork, communication, and self-confidence.
Taking part in implementing the program are the Ministry of Sports and Youth, represented by the Qatar Scientific Club, the Qatar Calendar House, and the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum, thus, enriching the summer camp's educational and cultural activities.
The camp's diverse program will feature interactive tours of the Museum of Islamic Art, training sessions and field visits at the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) headquarters, as well as shooting activities, horseback riding, fitness challenges, and an indoor wind tunnel experience for skydiving training at the Lekhwiya camp in Duhail.
Participants will also take part in art and creative workshops inspired by the Museum's collections, sustainability sessions, and specialized artificial intelligence workshops hosted by the Museum of Islamic Art Library. 
Additional activities will include astronomy workshops presented by the Qatar Calendar House, interactive science workshops organized by the Qatar Scientific Club focusing on innovation and scientific experiments, a range of academic and educational programs, and a visit to the 3-2-1 Qatar Olympic and Sports Museum.
The Museum of Islamic Art said that the summer camp reflects its commitment to supporting community development and strengthening the role of museums as educational and cultural institutions that preserve heritage and promote knowledge. 
It also highlights the importance of national partnerships in delivering high-quality programs aligned with national objectives, helping prepare a generation that takes pride in its national identity and Islamic values while possessing the skills needed to meet the challenges of the future. (QNA)
