Ramallah, July 22 (QNA) - Israeli occupation soldiers detained a Palestinian in the town of Hizma, northeast of occupied Jerusalem, while settlers took over a Palestinian home after the family was evicted from the village of Jalud, south of Nablus, the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA) said.
The agency added that Israeli forces continued to deploy in several neighborhoods across the town, noting that in Nablus Governorate, settlers seized the home of Mahmoud Al Tobasi's family in the town of Jalud after forcing the family to leave following more than three months of siege.
Bashar Al Qaryouti, a local anti-settlement activist from southern Nablus, said the settlers established a settlement outpost near the house and assaulted family members.
They cut off water and electricity to the house, Al-Qaryouti added, explaining that the settlers blocked the delivery of food and medicine to the home and ultimately forced the family to leave before taking it over.
In Jenin Governorate, Israeli occupation forces raided Deir Abu Da'if village, east of the city, and forced shop owners to close their businesses, disrupting commercial activity in the village. (QNA)
