Doha, July 22 (QNA) - HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani received a phone call Wednesday from HE President of the brotherly Syrian Arab Republic Ahmed Al Sharaa.
During the conversation, the two sides discussed the brotherly relations between the two nations and ways to deepen and expand them.
They also addressed the most recent regional and international developments, foremost among which is the evolving situation in the Middle East region.
In this context, HE the President of Syria said he is grateful for the role and efforts the State of Qatar plays in easing the situation and strengthening regional and international security.
In addition, both sides underscored the importance of stepping up regional and international de-escalation efforts and giving political solutions and dialogue overriding priority.
They added that this would help consolidate stability in the region, spare its peoples further tensions, and push toward settling disputes through diplomatic means and reaching a comprehensive agreement that achieves enduring peace. (QNA)
