Kuwait Announces Containment of Two Blazes After Iranian Attacks
Kuwait City, July 18 (QNA) - The Kuwaiti authorities reported Saturday that they had contained two fires that broke out at two different sites due to Iranian attacks.
Firefighters put out the two blazes, backed by teams from the oil sector at the first site, said the official spokesperson for the General Fire Force, Brig. Gen. Mohammed Al Ghareeb, adding that three teams engaged in fire containment operations at the second site.
He clarified that the incident at the first site resulted in several firefighters being injured, alongside an oil sector worker, after the site was targeted again during firefighting operations.
First aid was provided to them before they were whisked off to hospital, Al Ghareeb said, explaining that the firefighting force also handled three separate fires that erupted due to falling debris in several residential areas.
He emphasized that the force had successfully contained these fires, while the damage was limited to material losses, with no human casualties recorded. (QNA)
