Baghdad, July 18 (QNA) - Iraq signed a total of 48 agreements, Memoranda of Understanding (MoUs), and partnership declarations with public and private sector entities in the United States.
The agreements establish a clear framework for bilateral economic and financial cooperation and advance both countries' mutually beneficial partnership further, according to a statement by the Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Alzaidi's Media Office.
The agreements and MoUs include cooperation and partnerships involving the Ministries of Oil and Electricity, their affiliated companies, and other government sectors with ExxonMobil, Shell, and Halliburton, among others.
They also include an agreement between Iraq's Communications and Media Commission and Starlink to introduce services, as well as an additional cooperation agreement with Halliburton.
The signed agreements also include an MoU between the Iraqi private sector and Keysight Technologies, an agreement with PepsiCo, and several agreements related to the construction of crude oil pipelines extending to the Port of Baniyas on the Mediterranean Sea.
They further include partnership agreements in the field of education, as well as agreements between private sector entities in the supply and pharmaceutical manufacturing sectors.
Additional agreements and MoUs were concluded with Polaris and the Association of Energy Engineers (AEE).
Moreover, two agreements were also signed with Frito-Lay to support the development of the agricultural sector, along with partnerships involving other companies specializing in the agricultural, commercial, and industrial sectors. (QNA)
