GCC Secretary General: Houthi Attacks on Saudi Arabia Confirm Group's Insistence on Undermining Regional Security
Riyadh, July 14 (QNA) - Secretary General of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi expressed his condemnation and denunciation in the strongest terms of the ballistic missile attack carried out by the Houthis targeting the southern region of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
This cowardly attack represents a flagrant violation of international law and international humanitarian law, reflecting this group's insistence on undermining security and stability and threatening the safety of civilians and installations, Albudaiwi said.
The Houthis' continuous attacks and violations of all international laws and the ceasefire warrant a firm and deterrent international stance to put an end to their hostile practices and ensure those responsible are held accountable, thereby contributing to the protection of regional and international peace and security, the Secretary General of the GCC added.
Albudaiwi highlighted that the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's security is an integral part of the security of the GCC member states, and that the Council stands as one with the Kingdom in all measures it takes to protect its security, stability, and the safety of its citizens and residents on its territory.
