Zelensky Urges Allies to Speed Up Arms Deliveries to Ukraine
Kyiv, July 12 (QNA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday urged Ukraine's allies to accelerate the implementation of arms supply agreements, saying the country's diplomatic efforts should focus on strengthening cooperation with partners to ensure military commitments are carried out more quickly.
In his nightly video address, Zelensky said he was working on changes to Ukraine's diplomatic efforts.
"A new quality of work with Ukraine's partners is needed to fulfill the agreements on weapons supplies. The agreements at the leader level must be implemented much faster and more fully," he said.
He added that this includes cooperation with the United States on licensing the production of Patriot air defense systems.
He said the changes to Ukraine's diplomatic approach are intended to improve efficiency and accelerate the implementation of arms agreements as Russian attacks continue and Ukraine seeks to strengthen its air defense capabilities.
Earlier, in a post on his Telegram channel, Zelensky said Ukraine's air defense system had failed to intercept a Russian overnight ballistic missile attack involving Iskander-M missiles. (QNA)
