SpaceX Launches 24 New Starlink Satellites
Washington, July 11 (QNA) - Space Exploration Technologies Corp., the American aerospace company known as SpaceX, has launched 24 Starlink satellites into low Earth orbit as part of its ongoing efforts to enhance and expand its global satellite internet network.
The company stated that a Falcon 9 rocket lifted off from Vandenberg Space Force Base, carrying the satellites into their designated orbit. The rocket’s first-stage booster successfully returned to Earth about eight minutes after liftoff, landing on the company's droneship stationed in the Pacific Ocean.
The successful launch and landing marked the 35th flight for this specific booster, designated B1071. The milestone is part of a total of 657 missions conducted by the company using this class of rocket since 2010.
The mission brings the total number of active satellites in the Starlink network to more than 10,700, directly expanding the coverage and capacity of high-speed internet services to meet the growing global demand for satellite communications. (QNA)
