Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from UAE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs

Doha, July 11 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a telephone call from HH Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The conversation discussed strengthening and expanding bilateral cooperation between the two countries, along with the latest regional developments, particularly ongoing diplomatic efforts and joint coordination aimed at de-escalating tensions and promoting security and stability across the region.

HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs underlined the importance of all parties adhering to dialogue and diplomacy and implementing what had been agreed within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, including ensuring freedom of navigation in the Strait of Hormuz to safeguard the security of the region, preserve the gains that have been achieved, and enhance regional stability.

His Excellency reaffirmed that the State of Qatar fully supports all endeavors to de-escalate tensions and reach a comprehensive agreement that achieves lasting peace in the region. (QNA)
