Islamabad, June 08 (QNA) - Prime Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif said that his country is close to achieving the ultimate goal of its diplomatic mediation efforts between the United States and Iran aimed at easing tensions in the region.
Speaking on Monday, Sharif said Pakistan's intensive diplomatic engagement with both sides in recent weeks had produced tangible progress, noting a shared willingness to prioritize dialogue and avoid a broader confrontation.
He also issued an urgent appeal for restraint and wisdom, urging all parties to give diplomatic and peaceful efforts more time to help sustain de-escalation.
Sharif called on all parties to exercise restraint and allow peace efforts additional time to succeed, stressing the significance of continuing along the path of peace and diplomacy, which offers promising prospects for success, rather than resorting to violence and destruction. (QNA)
