Islamabad, June 28 (QNA) - The Pakistani military announced that three of its personnel were killed and four others were injured in an attack carried out by armed militants targeting a Frontier Corps camp in the city of Karachi, in Pakistan's southern Sindh province.
In a statement issued on Sunday, the military said Frontier Corps forces killed three of the attackers and captured a fourth.
The assault began with an explosion at the camp's main gate, followed by an attempted breach, before security forces successfully repelled the attack and brought the situation under control, it added.
Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif strongly condemned the attack, affirming that armed groups would not achieve their objectives.
Premier Sharif also reaffirmed continued public support for the country's security forces and pledged to continue the fight against armed militant groups until their complete elimination. (QNA)
