Macao (China), June 28 (QNA) - The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center of the Ministry of Culture has earned invaluable global medals during its participation in the Macao Specialized World Stamp Exhibition (MACAO 2026), running from June 26 until July 1.

The event is held under the umbrella of the International Federation of Philately (FIP), with the participation of 66 countries from around the globe.

The Qatari participation has obviously reaped honored results and superb evaluations conducted by international judging panels.

The exhibit "Censored Mail of Lebanon During World War II" was awarded a Large Gold Medal (LV), and the exhibit "Postal History of the Kingdom of Bahrain" also won a Large Gold Medal (LV).

Furthermore, the exhibit "History of Aden Stamps" achieved a Large Gold Medal (LV), while the exhibit "History of the Stamps of the United Kingdom of Libya" won a Large Silver Medal (LS).

It is worth mentioning that the Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center maintains memberships both at FIAP and FIP, along with its membership in the FIAP Executive Committee, which convened its meetings throughout this exhibition.

The center intends to forge bonds of rapprochement with specialized centers, associations, and institutions, as well as share expertise to advance philately and help promote it around the globe. (QNA)
