Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Receives Phone Call from Egyptian Foreign Minister
Doha, June 27 (QNA) - HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al-Thani received a phone call from HE Minister of Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation, and Egyptians Abroad of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Dr. Badr Abdelatty.
During the call, they discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to support and strengthen them, in addition to exchanging views on the latest regional developments, particularly diplomatic efforts to enhance security and stability in the region following the signing of the memorandum of understanding between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran.
During the call, HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs stressed the importance of sparing the region from the consequences of unjustified attacks, ensuring freedom of navigation through the Strait of Hormuz, continuing the path of dialogue and diplomacy, reducing tensions, and building on the gains achieved under the memorandum of understanding to reinforce regional and international peace and security.
His Excellency reaffirmed the State of Qatar's full support for the ongoing negotiations between the United States and Iran to reach sustainable solutions to outstanding issues through dialogue and peaceful means, thereby strengthening regional security, opening new horizons for cooperation, development, and prosperity, and achieving the common interests of the peoples of the region and the world.
