Kansas City, June 26 (QNA) - The Netherlands qualified for the Round of 32 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup after 3-1 win over Tunisia in their final Group F match.
The Dutch opened the scoring early in the third minute with an own goal by Tunisian player Ellyes Skhiri, before Brian Brobbey doubled their lead in the seventh minute.
In the second half, Hazem Mestouri pulled one back for Tunisia in the 54th minute, but Jan-Paul van Hecke scored for the Netherlands in the 62nd minute to win the match.
The Netherlands finished top of Group F with seven points and will face Morocco, the runners-up of Group C, in the Round of 32 on Tuesday in Monterrey, Mexico.
Tunisia finished its participation in the tournament in fourth place in Group F with no points, after suffering three consecutive defeats, thus exiting the World Cup competitions from the group stage. (QNA)
