The seventh stop of the 2026 Diamond League season featured a series of high-caliber competitions that brought together some of the world's leading track and field stars and produced one of the most memorable meetings of the year.

Cuba's Davielys Velazco opened the evening with a world-record performance in the women's triple jump, securing victory with a leap of 15.13 metres. Her compatriot Perez Hernandez finished second with 14.97m, while Senegal's Saly Sarr placed third with 14.86m.

Portugal's Pedro Pichardo added a second world record to the evening's tally by winning the men's triple jump with a leap of 17.71m. Jamaica's Jordan Scott finished second with 17.69m, while Algeria's Mohamed Yasser Triki claimed third place with 17.67m.

The third world record came in the women's 400 metres, where Dominican Republic star Marileidy Paulino stormed to victory in 48.91 seconds. Poland's Natalia Bukowiecka took second place in 50.10 seconds, while Cuba's Roxana Gomez finished third in 50.23 seconds.

Slovakia's Emma Zapletalova won the women's 400m hurdles in 52.30 seconds, ahead of Jamaica's Rachael Clayton (53.05 seconds) and Bahrain's Kemi Adekoya (53.67 seconds).

American Cordell Tinch claimed victory in the men's 110m hurdles with a time of 13.23 seconds, narrowly ahead of Spain's Asier Martinez (13.27 seconds) and Tomas Wykles (13.28 seconds).

In the women's 100 metres, Jamaica's Kemba Nelson took first place in 10.88 seconds. Italy's Zaynab Dosso finished second in 11.01 seconds, while Luxembourg's Patrizia van der Weken came third in 11.05 seconds.

American Addy Wiley won the women's 800 metres in 1:57.98, followed by Ethiopia's Tsige Duguma (1:58.08) and Uganda's Halimah Nakaayi (1:58.41).

Ethiopia's Medina Eisa led an Ethiopian sweep of the women's 5,000 metres, winning in 14:53.91. Likina Amebaw was second in 14:54.37 and Marta Alemayo third in 14:55.65.

Greece's Emmanouil Karalis won the men's pole vault on countback after clearing 5.92m, ahead of American Christopher Nilsen and Norway's Sondre Guttormsen, who cleared the same height.

South Africa's Sinesipho Dambile captured the men's 200 metres title in 19.74 seconds. Zimbabwe's Makanakaishe Charamba finished second in 19.88 seconds, while Dominican Republic's Alexander Ogando took third in 19.96 seconds.
