Beirut, June 20 (QNA) - An Israeli airstrike on Qennarit in Sidon District killed seven people in a preliminary toll, along with the injury of 13 others, among them five children and five women, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center of the Lebanese Ministry of Health said on Saturday.
Earlier, the Lebanese National News Agency reported that Israeli warplanes conducted intense airstrikes and artillery shelling on Nabatieh city and the contiguous town in southern Lebanon, which killed at least five people and inflicted massive devastation on residential neighborhoods.
On Friday, Lebanon was gripped by a large-scale military escalation extending from the south to the Beqaa in the northeastern part of the country, marked by a flurry of intensive aerial offensives by Israeli fighter jets, which killed 47 and injured 97, mostly in Nabatieh villages. (QNA)
