Philadelphia, June 20 (QNA) - Brazil earned its first victory of the 2026 FIFA World Cup on Saturday, defeating Haiti 3-0 at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia in a Group C match.
Brazil took control early and opened the scoring in the 23rd minute through Matheus Cunha, who added his second goal 13 minutes later after a pass from Vinicius Jr.
Vinicius Jr. completed the first-half scoring in stoppage time, giving Brazil a three-goal lead at the break.
Brazil maintained control in the second half, while Haiti struggled to convert its opportunities as it searched for a way back into the match.
Cunha was named player of the match after scoring twice and playing a key role in Brazil's first win of the tournament. Haiti remained without a point. (QNA)
