6.2-Magnitude Earthquake Strikes Southern Italy
Rome, June 02 (QNA) - An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale struck southern Italy.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Centre (EMSC) reported that the quake occurred 124 kilometers north of the city of Messina, at a depth of 240 kilometers.
No casualties or damage have been reported.
Italy has experienced devastating earthquakes in previous years, such as the August 2016 earthquake in Amatrice in central Italy and the surrounding area, which resulted in the deaths of 299 people. (QNA)
