Occupied Jerusalem, June 19 (QNA) - More than 60,000 Palestinians performed Friday prayers at Al Aqsa Mosque amid tightened Israeli security measures.
The Islamic Waqf Department in Jerusalem said that tens of thousands of worshipers arrived at the mosque compound from the early morning despite restrictions and intensified measures imposed by Israeli authorities at the mosque's gates and around the Old City.
Israeli authorities have prevented thousands of Palestinians from the West Bank and Gaza from accessing Al Aqsa Mosque for prayers for the past three years. (QNA)
