Qatar Press Center Hosts Seminar on Digital Media Messaging
Doha, June 17 (QNA) - The Qatar Press Center on Wednesday organized a seminar on media messaging in the digital age, featuring HE Director General of the Gulf Radio and Television Organization Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al Hazzaa.
The event brought together journalists, academics, and content creators, and was moderated by Tariq Alajji of Qatar TV.
Al Hazzaa highlighted rapid transformations in the media landscape driven by the digital revolution and social media platforms, which have reshaped how content is produced, distributed, and consumed.
He stressed that effective media messaging must be clear, credible, objective, engaging, and tailored to its target audience, while also being published at the right time to maintain public interest.
He also emphasized key pillars for building audience trust, including accuracy, transparency, balance, and respect for the audience's intellect.
Al Hazzaa noted major shifts in content production, including the move from institutional monopoly to individual competition, real-time reporting, the integration of artificial intelligence in writing, translation, and data analysis, as well as the rise of diverse formats such as short videos, infographics, podcasts, and live streaming.
He pointed out that competition for audience attention has intensified due to the vast number of daily messages users receive, making speed, quality, originality, and creativity essential for media success.
He further underscored the importance of preparing future media professionals through professional, digital, technical, and intellectual skills, while maintaining strong ethical and professional standards. (QNA)
