Doha, June 17 (QNA) - The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center, affiliated with the Ministry of Culture, is participating in the Macao 2026 Specialized World Stamp Exhibition (MACAO 2026) in China from June 26-July 1.
During its participation, the center will present five stamp displays that have won several international medals, including the first regular stamps of the State of Qatar, the history of stamps of the United Kingdom of Libya, the censored envelopes of Lebanon during World War II, in addition to the postal history of the Kingdom of Bahrain, as well as the history of Aden stamps.
MACAO 2026 is held under the auspices of the World Philatelic Federation (FIP), and meetings of the Executive Committee of the Asian Philatelic Federation (FIAP) will be held on its sidelines.
The Qatar Philatelic and Numismatic Center’s participation comes as part of its keenness to participate in international exhibitions organized by the FIP and FIAP, based on its membership in both federations.
The center aims to nurture and promote the hobby of collecting stamps and coins, and to work on advancing it, and to provide conditions for its development in all ways and means, in addition to promoting a culture of acquisition among them. (QNA)
