Brussels, June 17 (QNA) - European stock indexes opened mixed on Wednesday and showed little movement ahead of the release of the US Federal Reserve's monetary policy meeting results.
The pan-European STOXX 600 index edged up 0.05 percent to 636.29 points.
Germany's DAX index in Frankfurt fell 0.35 percent, while France's CAC 40 index in Paris was flat at 0.05 percent.
In contrast, Britain's FTSE 100 in London rose 0.10 percent, while Italy's FTSE MIB in Milan gained 0.19 percent.
The automobiles and parts sector index led losses, falling 2.3 percent, with BMW shares plunging 7.3 percent. Meanwhile, Leonardo shares rose 1.7 percent. (QNA)
