Doha, June 16 (QNA) - The French Republic on Tuesday awarded the National Order of the Legion of Honour (France's highest national decoration) to Assistant Undersecretary for Digital Industry Affairs at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) Reem Mohammed Al Mansoori, in recognition of her role in supporting and strengthening bilateral relations and promoting joint cooperation in the fields of digital technology, innovation, and artificial intelligence.

HE Minister of Communications and Information Technology Mohammed bin Ali Al Mannai, and HE Ambassador of the French Republic to the State of Qatar Arnaud Pescheux, attended the ceremony.

HE the French Ambassador highlighted the prominent role Al Mansoori plays in the digitalization of Qatar's economy and her commitment to the development of the bilateral cooperation between France and Qatar.

His Excellency wished to deepen the ties that unite the two countries, particularly in the fields of AI and quantum technology.

For her part, Reem Al Mansoori said this Award reflects the strong and longstanding ties between the State of Qatar and the French Republic, as well as the joint efforts to advance cooperation in priority digital fields in a manner that serves the mutual interests of nations.

She wished for further development and progress in relations and shared interests, in line with their aspirations for a promising digital future. (QNA)
