Omani, British Foreign Ministers Discuss Regional Developments, Maritime Security
Muscat, June 14 (QNA) - Omani Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi discussed the latest developments in the region with British Foreign Secretary Yvette Cooper during a phone call on Sunday.
They discussed the challenges posed by the current situation and the need for increased coordination and consultation to contain the causes of tension and escalation.
During the call, the two ministers agreed on the necessity of collective cooperation to ensure the resumption of freedom of navigation and the safety of supply chains and maritime trade in the region.
They also discussed aspects of cooperation between their countries and ways to develop and expand it to achieve greater mutual benefits and strengthen the Gulf-British partnership at both the commercial and economic levels. (QNA)
