Ukrainian President Plans Talks with Partners to Discuss New Sanctions Against Russia, More Support For Kyiv
Kyiv, June 14 (QNA) - Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced his intention to hold intensive talks with partner countries in the coming weeks on the sidelines of a series of high-level international summits.
Speaking to the press, Zelensky said the discussions would focus on imposing new sanctions against Russia, increased support for Ukraine and in particular air defense and long-range weapons.
He added that Kyiv is also seeking progress on agreements aimed at securing investments in Ukrainian drone production in exchange for the delivery of ready-made drones.
He pointed to a number of upcoming international meetings, including the G7 Summit, followed by the European Union Summit in Brussels, as well as the NATO Summit scheduled for next July.
Ukraine continues to resist Russian military operations with the support of its Western allies, while seeking to strengthen its defense capabilities and maintain economic pressure on Moscow. (QNA)
