Qatar Museums Wins Six Awards at International Sustainability Awards 2026
Doha, June 14 (QNA) - Qatar Museums (QM) has been honoured with six prestigious awards at the International Sustainability Awards 2026, organised by Awards International, reflecting its commitment to environmental stewardship, social impact and operational excellence across its institutions and initiatives.
The awards were presented during an online ceremony on 11 June 2026, bringing together leading organisations from around the world to celebrate outstanding achievements in sustainability.
QM secured two Gold Awards for Sustainability Team of the Year and Social Impact, alongside three Silver awards for Green Architecture and Professional Excellence and one Bronze for Best Green Building.
Following a rigorous two-stage evaluation process, QM received six awards across four award categories, including:
Best Sustainability Team of the Year - Gold, awarded to Qatar Museums;
Best Social Impact - Gold, awarded to Qatar Museums;
Sustainability Professional of the Year - Silver, awarded to Engineer Fahad Al Mana, Director of Project Management Office and Facilities Management Department at QM;
Best Green Building - Silver, awarded to National Museum of Qatar;
Best Green Building - Silver, awarded to Fire Station; and
Best Green Building - Bronze, awarded to Museum of Islamic Art (MIA)
These accolades reflect Qatar Museums' ongoing efforts to integrate sustainability into every aspect of its operations, from cultural programming and community engagement to responsible resource management and long-term institutional planning. (QNA)
