Muscat, June 14 (QNA) - Oman's Foreign Minister Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi met Sunday with Special Envoy of the Chinese Government on the Middle East Issue Zhai Jun to discuss ways to strengthen bilateral relations, as well as the latest regional and international developments.

During the meeting, the two sides reaffirmed their support for dialogue and diplomatic efforts aimed at promoting peace and stability and containing sources of tension and conflict.

They also stressed the importance of adhering to the principles of international law and the purposes of the UN Charter, while advancing political processes that address crises through peaceful and constructive means.

The discussions further underscored the need to ensure the freedom and safety of maritime navigation through the Strait of Hormuz. (QNA)
