Boston, June 14 (QNA) - Scotland began its 2026 FIFA World Cup journey with a hard-fought 1–0 victory over Haiti in a match played in Boston, United States, as part of the opening round of Group C.

John McGinn scored the game's only goal in the 28th minute, earning his side three valuable points in a group that also includes Morocco and Brazil, who drew 1–1 earlier.

With the win, Scotland moved to the top of Group C with three points, two ahead of both Morocco and Brazil, while Haiti remained without a point.
