Arab League Slams Fresh Iranian Attacks on Kuwait
Cairo, June 01 (QNA) - The Arab League strongly condemned renewed Iranian attacks on the State of Kuwait with missiles and drones, deeming them blatant violations of international law, the UN Charter, and Security Council Resolution 2817, issued on March 11, 2026.
The Arab League flatly rejects this Iranian escalation, which endangers civilians' lives and compromises Kuwait's sovereignty, as well as its security and stability, Secretary-General Ahmed Aboul Gheit stressed in a statement on Monday.
Aboul Gheit added that, intriguingly, these assaults are happening at a time when assiduous diplomatic efforts are underway to end the war and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
He hailed the Kuwaiti air defense forces for holding off these Iranian offensives, reiterating that he fully stands side by side with the State of Kuwait in all measures it pursues to safeguard its security, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. (QNA)
