UAE and Egypt Leaders Discuss Regional Security and Strengthening Ties
Abu Dhabi, May 07 (QNA) - HH President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El Sisi have held talks in Abu Dhabi focused on bilateral relations and the latest regional developments.
The meeting on Thursday centered on ways to strengthen cooperation between the two countries, while also addressing ongoing regional tensions and their implications for international and regional security, according to state media reports.
The two leaders exchanged views on developments across the Middle East amid continued geopolitical uncertainty in the region.
During the talks, President Sisi reiterated Egypt's condemnation of Iranian attacks targeting civilians and civilian facilities in the UAE.
He also reaffirmed Egypt's solidarity with the UAE and its support for measures taken by Abu Dhabi to safeguard its sovereignty, security and the safety of citizens and residents.
The UAE and Egypt maintain close political and economic ties and have frequently coordinated positions on regional security issues. (QNA)
