Gaza, May 28 (QNA) - The death toll from the Israeli aggression on Gaza has risen to 72,819, with 172,894 wounded, since the aggression began on Oct. 7, 2023, according to medical sources today.

The sources stated that hospitals in the Gaza Strip received 16 martyrs during the past forty-eight hours, in addition to 39 injuries.

The medical sources added that since the ceasefire on October 11 last year, 922 people had been killed and 2,786 injured. They also reported that 781 bodies had been recovered.

They said many victims were still trapped under rubble or lying in areas inaccessible to emergency and rescue teams, amid continuing difficulties in reaching affected locations. (QNA)
