Intense Israeli Airstrikes on Southern, Eastern Lebanon
Beirut, May 26 (QNA) - The Israeli military intensified its attacks on southern and eastern Lebanon on Monday.
Lebanon's National News Agency reported that four people were killed and three others wounded in an airstrike carried out by Israeli warplanes on the cemetery of the town of Kfarrman in southern Lebanon on Monday afternoon.
Another strike on the town of Meifadoun in southern Lebanon caused multiple injuries, amid growing urgent appeals to evacuate the wounded from the targeted area.
Israeli warplanes also carried out a series of airstrikes on the town of Mashghara in the Western Beqaa region in eastern Lebanon.
Lebanon's Health Ministry Emergency Operations Center said in a statement on Monday that the cumulative toll from the Israeli offensive since March 2 had risen to 3,185 dead and 9,633 wounded.
The Israeli military has continued its attacks on southern Lebanon despite a cease-fire agreement that took effect on April 16 and was extended for a second time on May 15 for an additional 45 days, amid warnings of a worsening security and humanitarian situation in the region. (QNA)
