Saudi Health Ministry Delivers Over 1 Million Services to Pilgrims
Makkah, May 25 (QNA) - Saudi Arabia's Ministry of Health announced that more than 1.09 million healthcare services have been provided to pilgrims since the start of the 1447H Hajj season.
The ministry said over 41,000 pilgrims benefited from primary healthcare and urgent care services, while emergency departments handled nearly 29,000 cases and outpatient clinics received more than 4,000 patients.
More than 300 surgeries were performed, including over 200 cardiac catheterization procedures and 13 open-heart operations.
Authorities also reported delivering nearly 293,000 preventive health services and handling around 120,000 calls through the unified contact center.
The ministry said the efforts are part of an integrated healthcare plan aimed at ensuring pilgrims can perform their rituals safely and comfortably. (QNA)
