Makkah Al Mukarramah, May 25 (QNA) - The Qatari Hajj Mission's Communication and Support Unit has ramped up its on-site efforts to ensure Qatar's pilgrims flocking aboard the Holy Sites train proceed securely and seamlessly when they commute in a serene atmosphere.

The unit stressed that these efforts are constantly undertaken by the Mission in pursuit of executing its operational plan as part of the strategic plan of the Ministry of Endowments when it comes to pilgrimage matters.

The unit operates in coordination and collaboration with a broad range of supportive units and campaign operators based on a unified system to serve pilgrims and provide them with the top-tier amenities while they commute and perform these religious rituals, said Head of the Qatar Hajj Mission's Inspection Unit Khaled Waleed Al Hammadi.

Al Hammadi added that the Mission put out a detailed plan ensure the flocking of the nation's pilgrims aboard the Holy Sites Train in coordination with the authoritative agencies in the sisterly Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

This plan, he noted, includes the best operational scenarios to ensure seamless traffic and reduce crowds amid a heck of a massive crowds and the heightened temperatures during Hajj season.

The flocking mechanism, Al Hammadi suggested, includes the movement of pilgrims via Mina terminal (2) until terminating at Arafat (2), alongside regulating Nafrah and return movement plans between the holy sites based on accurate schedules that observe safety and traffic flow.

The Mission's role includes field oversight, coordination and monitoring, with the campaign operators undertaking the flocking executive aspects, Al Hammadi clarified.

He asserted that all operators had previously supplied the mission with detailed plans outlining the movement schedules to and from the Holy Mosque, as well as the Holy Sites to ensure operational tracks are clear.

Al Hammadi added that what matters most is the adherence to the guidelines rendered by the Qatari Mission and the authoritative agencies in Saudi Arabia, stressing that upholding these instructions is one of factors of successful pilgrimage.

Any potential infractions that could affect safety and traffic flow would be handled administratively, Al Hammadi underscored, recalling that the unit enjoined the operators to essentially provide fundamental needs for pilgrims while they are on the move, in terms of drinking water, umbrella, and folding chairs.

The unit gives overriding priority to the elderly and persons with disabilities, Al Hammadi noted, adding that the aim is to have a more comfortable and safer environment while pilgrims are on the move.

Al Hammadi recalled that all campaign operators are committed to the guidelines of organizing the stoning rituals and making sure that pilgrims don't venture out during heightened temperatures from 10 am to 5 pm to maintain their safety and keep heatstroke at bay.

Field personnel are ubiquitous in accommodation sites and the Holy Sites throughout the whole day, he said, adding that they are ready to deal with any contingencies of losing directions as they pinpoint pilgrims' locations and immediately coordinate to escort them to their tents.

Al Hammadi pointed out that the unit devoted a free hotline service for all pilgrims via the unified call center (974132+) at home and (8003040444) inside Saudi Arabia for holders of Qatari and Saudi SIM cards, enabling fast communication and immediate support in all cases.

The unit positions itself as the key focal point between pilgrims and all units, Al Hammadi highlighted, adding that its mission begins with the early arrival of pilgrims in the Holy Lands by texting SMS and keeps serving them until they return home safely.

He further clarified that the unit leans on smart systems to document requests and complaints which are scrutinized and transferred to the Mission's authoritative agencies, notifying the pilgrims in case of any updates, in addition to measuring their satisfactory levels for further improvement.
